2023 Crossroads Trail Run

A trail run for the books! A record (or near-record) 392-registrant crowd enjoyed the fabulous, family-friendly, 14th-annual Crossroads Trail Run on Saturday. The weather was perfect, the new route was a hit and smiles were everywhere. Each participant received a native tree to take home courtesy of Lautenbach’s Orchard. Participants also enjoyed cherry granola ice cream sundaes provided by Culver’s.

Those with the best times in each category received local maple syrup, soap, and native honey. Prizes were graciously provided by the Door County Beekeepers Club and from Sweet Mountain Farm, LLC. Fastest runners in the 5k and 10k were awarded beautiful bowls by local potter Liz Butler.

Our committee and volunteers worked tirelessly to make this event a success, We want to thank them, race director Morgan Rusnak, and route-creator Nick Lutzke for all their work. Thank you to our sponsors Sturgeon Bay Utilities, Landmark Resort, Carrington Door County, Door County Medical Center, Run the Door, Evergreen Nursery, Dr. Dan and Heidi Tomaszewski, and The Cordon Family Foundation.

Finally, we want to offer a tremendous thanks to all who ran or walked. Proceeds from the Trail Run help fund Crossroads’ Ski-for-Free program and all the other wonderful things that happen at Crossroads at Big Creek.

We are already looking forward to next year!
