TRAIL NEWS:
  • Trails are clear, but muddy in places.  Big Creek is full of sucker, Canada buffaloberry is in bloom, and in the evenings, woodcocks are dancing at the Astronomy Campus.

Science Saturdays: Auroras

March 9 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Immerse yourself in a weekly science topic with our naturalists. Get hands-on with experiments, activities, crafts and more with a different topic each week as we explore the “What? Where? When? Why? and How?” of the world around us.

The Sun is becoming quite active, meaning we have a good chance of seeing northern lights this year. With videos and demonstrations, kids (and learners of all ages) will learn how charged particles from the Sun create  a spectacular light shows in the sky: the Aurora Borealis.

Science Saturdays is a free, family-friendly program geared toward elementary ages. Depending on the topic and the weather, this program may be outdoors. Please dress for the weather.
