Science Saturdays: Hexagons
January 6 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Immerse yourself in a weekly science topic with our naturalists. Get hands-on with experiments, activities, crafts and more with a different topic each week as we explore the “What? Where? When? Why? and How?” of the world around us.
Hexagons—six-sided polygons–show up in everything from honeycombs and ancient coral fossils to the James Webb telescope. In this multi-media/hands-on activity, participants will learn why this shape is so special. This program is intended for school aged children but learners of all ages are welcome.
Science Saturdays is a free, family-friendly program geared toward elementary ages. Depending on the topic and the weather, this program may be outdoors. Please dress for the weather.
