DESCRIPTION:Leather is all around us in our daily lives\, but did you know that when you tan fish skin you can create a durable and strong leather? Join Titus Seilheimer\, Fisheries Specialist with Wisconsin Sea Grant\, for a hands-on learning experience. \nIn this two-part class we will spend a full day together (December 4) preparing the skins and then starting the tanning process. After a week of self-directed steps (don’t worry\, you won’t have to do much)\, we will gather together again (from 9 am- 12 pm on Friday\, December 11) to complete the final steps and you will leave with your very own piece of tanned fish leather from a local fish species. \nThere will be a break for lunch so feel free to bring something to eat or take a moment to pop over to you favorite local restaurant. \n🎟️ Please prepare to get messy\, but all other equipment and supplies are provided! \n\n\n\n\n💛 Free & Open to the Public! \n📝 Space is limited so please register below.
