Door County Beekeeper Club: Keeping Track of Your Honeybees
October 20 @ 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM

What can we learn from keeping field notes when you check your hives, and how does this impact your beekeeping journey? Each time you look at your hive, keeping field notes and then documenting them in something like a binder or even filling out an annual survey can help you in so many ways.
We all get busy and sometimes forget what we were looking at in our hives, but being able to take a quick look at your notes before you go to the apiary can dramatically influence your beekeeping. The information can also be compiled and used to complete an annual survey or report to help identify strengths and weaknesses not only in your colony but also in your beekeeping practices.
The Door County Beekeepers Club encourages community members to attend this monthly program. The club promotes the study, science and craft of beekeeping through education, encouragement and community for all Door County beekeepers, and raises awareness to the benefits of bees for our environment, ecology and local economy.
Free – registration not required. Meet at the Collins Learning Center.
