Science Saturdays: Christmas Bird Hike

Immerse yourself in a weekly science topic with our naturalists. Get hands-on with experiments, activities, crafts and more with a different topic each week as we explore the “What? Where? When? Why? and How?” of the world around us.

Students and their families are invited to participate the Annual Sturgeon Bay Christmas Bird Count at Crossroads. The family birding party will go into the preserve to  record the birds they see and hear, be out for about an hour, then come in and warm up with hot chocolate and conversation by the fire. Loaner binoculars are available.

Science Saturdays is a free, family-friendly program geared toward elementary ages. Depending on the topic and the weather, this program may be outdoors. Please dress for the weather.
