Wild Ones Presentation: “Trees for Bees”

September 30, 2025 @ 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

“Native trees and shrubs form the backbone of healthy pollinator habitat. They offer abundant, high-quality nectar and pollen precisely when bees need them most, while also supporting the complex web of life that keeps ecosystems resilient.”
— Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation

Many of us have added native wildflowers to our landscapes—but native trees and shrubs can provide even greater benefits for both our native wild bees and domestic honey bees.

At our program, “Trees for Bees,” Coggin Heeringa will share insights into bee pollen and nectar preferences, and highlight native trees and shrubs that thrive in Door County while supporting pollinators.

All are welcome—bring a friend and join us to learn how to make your property a haven for bees!
