Coming Soon… Trails & Ales

Crossroads at Big Creek is excited to announce the return of Trails & Ales, now in its third year, on Saturday, September 12, from Noon to 3:30 p.m. at Crossroads.

What began as a unique way to combine nature, community, and locally crafted beer has grown into a regional celebration featuring breweries from both Door and Kewaunee counties. This year’s event marks a major expansion with the addition of all three Kewaunee County breweries, joining the eight breweries of Door County for the first time.

Participants will stroll the scenic Ale Trail, an approximately one-half-mile route winding through the beautiful grounds of Crossroads. Along the trail, guests will enjoy beer samples from 11 local breweries:

  • Ahnapee Brewery
  • Bridge Up Brewing
  • Door County Brewing Co.
  • Hacienda Beer Co.
  • Lake Whispers Brewing
  • One Barrel Brewing Company
  • Peach Barn Farmhouse & Brewery
  • Shipwrecked Brew Pub & Restaurant
  • Starboard Brewing Company
  • Sway Brewing + Blending
  • Thumb Knuckle Brewing Company

The event will also feature samples from the Green Bay Rackers Home Brew Club.

“As a nature preserve with eight miles of hiking trails and more than 200 acres of woodlands, wetlands, meadows, and shoreline, Crossroads provides a beautiful setting for visitors to enjoy the best craft beverages our region has to offer,” said Samantha Koyen, Executive Director of Crossroads at Big Creek. “We’re thrilled to welcome breweries from both Door and Kewaunee counties as Trails & Ales continues to grow. The support of our brewery partners, sponsors, and attendees helps sustain Crossroads’ mission of environmental stewardship, education, and community engagement.”

Food will be available throughout the event from the Sloppy Hog BBQ food truck.

Guests will can purchase raffle tickets for brewery-themed prizes and baskets featuring items from businesses and attractions throughout Door and Kewaunee counties. Proceeds from Trails & Ales support Crossroads’ environmental education programs, conservation efforts, and community outreach initiatives.

Trails & Ales will be held rain or shine. If trail conditions become impassable due to weather, festivities will move to and around the Collins Learning Center on the Crossroads campus.
